Max Ehrich is the lucky man who captured Demi Lovato's heart and now, after five months of dating, the pair is engaged! But who exactly is Ehrich? While you think you might only know him from Lovato's PDA-packed, quarantine Instagrams, he's probably graced your television screen more times than one.
Born in New Jersey, Ehrich is actually an actor (and an Emmy-nominated one at that!) and made his film debut at the age of 13 in One Easy Job in 2004. Since then he's had a number of roles in shows like Ugly Betty, iCarly and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, to name a few. However, he is most known for his role as Fenmore Baldwin in the long-running soap The Young and the Restless.
Lovato says they "knew [they] loved [him] the moment [they] met [him]" and we can clearly see why! Below, four facts you must know about Ehrich—we promise this couple will become your new celebrity crush!
He's a four-time Emmy-nominated actor.
It was Ehrich's reoccurring role on The Young and the Restless, which landed him four Daytime Emmy nominations from 2013 to 2016. He was also nominated for two Young Artists Awards in 2011 and 2012 for his roles in The Pregnancy Pact and Parenthood, respectively.
He's a fellow Disney Channel star.
Like his fiancé, Ehrich has roots with Disney Channel, having appeared in episodes of Shake It Up (which starred Zendaya and Bella Thorne) and as a principal dancer in High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
The roles, which occurred between 2008 and 2010, were around the same time as Lovato's Disney days, who played the leading lady in both the movie Camp Rock and television series Sonny with a Chance.
He can sing.
You thought he was just an actor? Turns out the 29-year-old can sing, too! On March 24, he shared his rendition of Coldplay's "Yellow" with the caption "4D🌹<3" on Instagram, prompting fans to assume he was serenading Lovato.
He also recently teased that he is working on new music. Perhaps we can expect a collaboration with him and his Grammy-nominated fiancé one day soon.
In 2011, he asked Santa if he could have Demi Lovato for Christmas.
Little did 20-year-old Ehrich know that his Christmas wish would come true nearly nine years later! The actor tweeted in 2011 that "all he wanted for Christmas was Demi Lovato" along with the hashtag, #youcantalwaysgetwhatyouwant.
Lovato uncovered the tweet once the pair began dating in 2020, and responded with "Every Christmas? We love a little manifestation."
Before we know it, Lovato and Ehrich will be walking down the aisle! And in case you're wondering, this is what the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer looks like in a wedding dress.
