Global sensation and pop star Halsey announced that she is expecting her first child! She took to Instagram to announce the exciting news.

Fans noticed that Halsey also tagged her baby daddy Alev Aydin in the post. Her man returned the favor by posting a sweet comment to her post. “So full, I love you, sweetness,” he wrote. “I love you!!! And I love this mini human already."

We are so excited for the singer, as this news comes after she revealed last year that she had suffered a miscarriage. "Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can't do the one thing I'm biologically put on this earth to do," she told Guardian. "Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It is demoralizing."

She also shared that she has endometriosis but was still hopeful about becoming a mother someday, sharing that her latest prognosis had been positive. And now she has her rainbow baby!

The two have led a very private relationship thus far (unlike her previous relationship to rapper G-Eazy), but a source told People that the two have been dating for "several months." So who is Halsey's baby daddy? Here's everything you need to know about Alev Aydin.

He's a Screenwriter, Director, and Producer

Her 37-year-old boyfriend is a writer and even has a show currently streaming on Netflix. According to People, in 2017 Aydin created an eight-episode series called Small Shots.

He also worked on Turbo and Joey and executive produced a short called HipMen: Los Angeles. According to Billboard, he even wrote, produced, directed, and starred in a feature film called Lonely Boy that took home some prizes from film festivals in 2013.

They Have Matching Ink

According to People, the couple received matching tattoos on their feet of the word "seeds," back in June. Fans speculated the meaning behind their choice of the word seeds is because cosmically it was the best week to plant a seed.

He's a Lakers Fan

He's a baller! In August, he posted a throwback picture to Instagram of him wearing a Laker's jersey, while rocking some rollerblades.

"When ball is life, but also, blades is life, too." he captioned the post. Halsey is also a Lakers and big bball fan—she even has a Twitter accountdedicated to basketball. Aydin also expresses his love of the sport on Twitter by sharing basketball memes, videos, and news. We can't wait to see these two court side with their baby once the Covid-19 pandemic is over.

He's Turkish

Aydin is originally from Turkey, and according to his Instagram, he visits his homeland often.

"I went back to the motherland for about a month," he wrote. "Bittersweet this time though. Here’s a shot I took on damaged film that captures that sentiment."

He's Bicoastal

According to UsWeekly the writer splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City. He often posts about both cities to his Instagram.
