Our Favorite Pieces From the Vera Wang LOVE Collection

Vera Wang

When it comes to bridal anything, Vera Wang is a name that needs no introduction. Yet, her iconic wedding gowns are not the only way the designer makes bridal dreams come true. In 2011, Wang partnered with Zales to create the Vera Wang LOVE Collection—a line of engagement rings, wedding bands and fashion jewelry—as an extension of her signature elegant sensibility.

Much like her work in bridal fashion, Wang's diamond creations are all inspired by love. “It's a love for fashion. It's a love for other women,” says Wang. “It's a love for people who are willing to take a chance in their lives. I always say engagements are the most positive, optimistic thing we all do because you're taking a chance on the future.”

However, what makes Zales’ Vera Wang LOVE collection truly one-of-a-kind is the use of a blue sapphire accent in every single piece—both as a unique design element and a symbol of everlasting love. “I just love the art of jewelry making. It’s not only about stones. It’s about shapes, it’s about proportions," says Wang. "It’s this wonderful puzzle where you imagine something and then you create it, and there’s no better feeling for a creative person than to see something you really believe in worn by people who invested in it and wear and enjoy it!”

Although each piece is designed by Wang, the collection still allows wearers to customize the final product, including the shape, setting, style, and metal. President of Zales Jamie Singleton explains, “At Zales, it’s possible to build on Vera’s design aesthetic by selecting from hundreds of style variations to pull through the desired emotion—whether honoring the wearer’s personality, family heritage, fashion sense or lifestyle. In fact, lately, we’ve begun to see more couples shop for the engagement ring together—highlighting a growing desire to ensure that the ring matches their vision.”
