Vera Wang Bride Releases Its Newest Collection Celebrating Modern Freedom

A collection of contemporary, sophisticated, and celebratory styles.

Vera Wang has dressed some of the most iconic celebrity brides throughout history. Think back to Ariana Grande's silk charmeuse open-back dress, Issa Rae's custom strapless ball gown, Victoria Beckham's iconic corset ensemble, Mariah Carey's off-the-shoulder princess gown, and Kim and Khloe Kardashian's custom Vera Wang wedding looks (to name a few!). After launching her bridal line in 1990, the designer quickly established herself as one of the most iconic designers in both the ready-to-wear and bridal spaces. Today, Wang adds another collection of gorgeous dresses to the Vera Wang Bride brand—which is now part of the Pronovias Group—full of fashion-forward and enchanting looks.

We recently had the chance to speak with Vera Wang prior to the launch, who revealed that the inspiration for this new collection came from one of her special celebrity brides—Hailey Bieber. "In this new campaign, a lot of this came out of what had happened to me when I was working with Hailey Bieber for her wedding to Justin. And although we did not do the ceremony gown, we did do a couple of party dresses," reveals Wang.

The dress referenced is Hailey's custom Vera Wang look, which was a charmeuse slip dress that featured a cowl one-shoulder silhouette (the Rhode founder's third outfit change that evening!). What's more, it was Bieber's "cool-girl attitude" that laid the foundation for the vision behind the newest bridal campaign.

When curating any new line, Wang's main goal is to tell a story and relay a point of view that "appeals to different types of brides, generationally and stylistically," she shares with Brides. This collection is no exception, and the designer set forth to highlight a range of looks that convey a sense of freedom and energy (similar to Bieber's style). Wang further shares that for this launch, she wanted to capture an aspirational vibe of complete joy, one with "an intention that's bridal and an attitude that is fashion."

I always try to do something new. You will never just get the same collection every year.

Another main source of inspiration? Her own personal style. "This collection was very much the way I dress. I, myself, wear leggings. I wear layers. I dress with hoodies. I dress with, you know, all these kinds of things," says Wang. "All of that was reflected in this styling, [and] I style the Pronovias campaigns myself."

The 54 gown collection has everything from jumpsuits to A-line dresses and minis, offering a range of styles every bride will love today and for years to come. It's a line of fresh and new designs that truly speak to today's brides, those who are embracing their personal style and moving away from what it means to be "traditional". "I always try to do something new. You will never just get the same collection every year. We are a fashion house, and we focus enormously on bridal fashion," says Wang.

The Vera Wang Bride collection is now available to shop globally, in a range of sizes from 0-32. Keep scrolling below to see a few of our favorites from the line.
