Tim Tebow is a married man! The former football player wed model Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in South Africa over the weekend. The pair brought family and friends to the bride's home country for a weekend's worth of wedding festivities. According to People, the couple exchanged vows during a sunset ceremony that combined elements from both American and South African cultures.
As the face of David's Bridal's latest collection, it's no surprise that Nel-Peters opted for a custom gown from the label for her walk down the aisle. The scoop-necked dress, which also featured covered buttons down the back and slight off-the-shoulder straps, was the perfect modern, yet romantic option for their wine country venue. The groom stuck with a classic look, wearing a black tuxedo but Gert-Johan Coetzee.
People also reported Tebow and Nel-Peters chose white, gold, green and black decor, and guests dined on both American and South African dishes.
The wedding day wasn't the only time the couple celebrated their new union with family and friends, however. Ahead of their "I dos," the duo hosted a series of events, including a welcome party and a rehearsal dinner.
Nel-Peters went full-on bridal for her welcome party look, wearing a white cross-necklined gown adorned in ostrich feathers by Gert-Johan Coetzee. Tebow opted for some color and chose a salmon-colored linen suit by Antar Levar. At the cocktail party, guests were emersed in traditional South African culture.
For the rehearsal dinner, the couple chose outfits in a more moody color palette, with Nel-Peters wearing a fitted strapless gown by Anel Botha and Tebow in a purple and black printed suit. The decor matched the bride and groom's bold looks—purple and red flowers were paired with black furniture.
We imagine the couple is off celebrating their honeymoon by now and already reminiscing on their gorgeous nuptials. If we were them, we would be too!
