UPDATE 3/13 3:45 PM EST: Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have addressed their breakup on Twitter.
""I'm forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons that Z and I shared," Gigi stated.
It seems that all is not well in the land of Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik as the British newspaper The Sun has published a rumor that the two may have broken up, based on the intel that he is no longer following her on Instagram. Neither Gigi nor Zayn have commented on the headlines alleging their split — and it's always best to hear things directly from the source.
So what do we know? As Elle notes, while Gigi still follows Zayn on Instagram, Zayn isn't following Gigi — though it's unclear when exactly he unfollowed the supermodel. He also no longer follows any of her family members, including Bella.
Zayn last appeared on Gigi's Instagram feed on January 12, his 25th birthday. "Love this man more than I could ever put into words, & am inspired by his drive to be and do better everyday ✨ cheers to YOUR YEAR my @zayn - happiest happiest birthday & 25th year of life !! I'm proud to be by your side x," she wrote at the time. And on Valentine's Day, she posted a selfie on her Instagram Story with the caption, "Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!! X but especially my baby @zayn ;)." Meanwhile, Gigi hasn't been pictured on Zayn's IG since the day after Halloween 2017, when he posted a photo of their Spiderman-themed couples costume.
Gigi and Zayn first started dating in November 2015, when Zayn asked Gigi out after he performed at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Though they briefly broke up in June 2016, they soon got back together and seemed closer than ever, appearing on the cover of Vogue together, hanging out with each other's moms, and sporting matching outfits around NYC.
If you're feeling stressed out about the rumors, take the sage advice Zayn gave in an Instagram he posted on Tuesday: "When Life throws you lemons , catch em so they don't hit you in the f*cking face," he captioned a shirtless selfie.
