Looks like Mr. and Mrs. Claus aren't the only ones who found romance over chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
In December 2015, fashion blogger Sarah Vickers and Kiel James Patrick of KJP Designs tied the knot in a magically festive wedding ceremony at Henry's Christmas Tree Farms. The couple first visited the Rhode Island farm in 2010 and has since made a yearly tradition of picking out their Christmas tree there. When it came time to select a wedding venue, the couple—in the true holiday spirit of traditions!—decided that the rusticly romantic farm would be the perfect place to say "I do" and set an early December wedding date.
"It was the most perfect day and we both agreed that all the little things we already had were all we ever needed to live happily ever after," the groom wrote on Instagram.
Love the idea of a Christmas wedding? Here are a few images that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit—and potentially make you change your wedding from June to December.
A Date to Remember
A yearly tradition of visiting Henry's Christmas Tree Farm turned into a wedding anniversary: the bride and groom got married on the exact date they first visited the farm five years earlier.
The Most Romantic Setting
Sarah and Kiel exchanged vows in front of the darling backdrop of Christmas trees decorated with an abundance of lights. The ceremony design was kept simple to honor the rustic setting of the farm so guests sat on wooden benches, while the bride walked down an aisle lined with a vintage-style runner. The arbor was also on-theme with wooden branches wrapped in fresh garland, pine cones, and red ribbon.
Leaning into the winter theme, the bride wore a glam white ballgown featuring a high neck and low, square back. She paired it with a bouquet of seasonal blooms in shades of green and white.
The groom also went with a timeless look, sporting a classic black-and-white tux for both the ceremony and reception. His boutonniere was made of a single calla lily.
Touches of Sparkle
Even the bride's emerald green, oval-cut engagement ring—featuring a halo of diamonds!—felt like a perfect match for the Christmas wedding. During the ceremony, she added a gold-and-diamond wedding band to her stack.
To complete her look, Sarah kept her hair in natural, loose waves and added a delicate pearl crown as a romantic touch.
The couple's intimate, New England-inspired reception featured more seasonal touches such as Christmas music, apple pies, cakes, Champagne, and eggnog—all to keep spirits bright, of course. At the end of the night, guests were given gingerbread cookies to enjoy at the party or take home as a treat for Santa.
An Epic Getaway Ride
To wrap up the festivities, the newlyweds quickly hopped into their sleigh (err...Jeep Wagoneer) and drove back home to continue celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.
