There are a lot of reasons why Sofia Vergara loves her fianccc&#@33; Joe Manganiello (just look at him!). But when he first (publicly!) asked her out, Vergara wasn't so sure about dating the Magic Mike stud.
"I didn't want to go out with him for a long time because I thought he was too good looking," Vergara told InStyle in their October cover story. "Like, it's too much work, and I'm older. I'm 43 years old. I don't want to deal with a guy that every girl is after, you know?"
But now, her tune has majorly changed, and she can't wait to not only marry him, but further begin their lives together. "He's not like a typical handsome guy," the cover star explained she discovered once she got to know him. "He's not vain. He's very serious, very straightforward, very easy. Also, he doesn't drink. So that's great because he doesn't like to go out partying. And he can sit around a dinner table for hours with my family. He talks — and drinks Colombian coffee."
As for her wedding planning and bridal gown, we wouldn't be too surprised if she stuck to her signature style — a strapless, curve-hugging mermaid gown. She actually, pretty much gave it away that her consummate red-carpet uniform will indeed make its way to her big day. "Sometimes people tweet, 'Why is she always in the same kind of mermaid dresses?'" she said. "Well, it's because that's what looks good on me. It holds my boobs. There are many dresses that are spectacular on a model, but I can't pull them off. I wear what's right for me." As she should!
Last but not least, the natural next step for these two lovebirds is kids, but Vergara isn't too sure they'll start a family. "I'm really borderline at my age to do it. And if I'm going to do it, I would need a surrogate," she explained. "I'll need help. But I don't mind it; it's fine." Does that mean it'll happen? We'll have to wait and see!
