Back in October, the news broke that Jon Snow bent on one knee and proposed to his former Game of Thrones costar. Fans of the series were ecstatic over the engagement between Jon’s offscreen counterpart Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played his late love interest Ygritte on the HBO fantasy-drama, and began anxiously awaiting their wedding invitations (delivered by raven, naturally). But it looks like everyone is going to have to wait a little longer on those invites. Rose Leslie just admitted to having some wedding-planning woes and, honestly, they're insanely relatable.
Harington and Leslie confirmed their engagement with a formal announcement in London’s The Times newspaper. “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” read the notice in the marriages section of the paper. But announcing their nuptial news seems to be the only wedding to-do these two have checked off their list. The reason? The bride is just too damn busy.
Rose Leslie is gracing the pages of the February 2018 issue of Town & Country, where she opens up on her career and latest role on CBS's The Good Fight. No wonder the Scottish actress has no time to plan her wedding!
“I’m trying to fit in my wedding,” Leslie told the mag of her crazy filming schedule. “I haven’t tackled it,” she admitted of her still-up-in-the-air big-day details. “There’s just too much to do.”
We hear ya, girl. Preach.
Harington and Leslie’s union isn’t the only wedding in Westeros. GOT star Sophie Turner also got engaged this past year to her love, Joe Jonas. The couple announced their engagement with a pair of matching engagement-ring selfies on Instagram and, since then, have celebrated their impending I do’s with an engagement party in New York City.
Hopefully Turner’s having an easier time wedding planning than her costars!
