You've heard of a white wedding—but how about a White Castle wedding? The fast-food chain, known for its square hamburgers, just announced a nationwide competition, the White Castle Royal Wedding, where two lucky lovebirds will get a free wedding at the White Castle location in the marriage capital of the world, Las Vegas. Talk about a dream wedding.
According to White Castle's website, in addition to a free wedding reception, the winning couple will get complimentary airfare and accommodations for themselves plus six of their pals, as well as a five-day honeymoon in Belgium, including a one-night stay in a historic castle. Two couples will be granted runner-up status, which comes with free White Castle catering at your wedding (or seemingly any event) for up to 200 guests.
Entering the contest requires several steps—you and your significant other should probably sit down together to ensure your romantic questionnaire answers are fit for royalty. After clicking "Enter Now" on the web page for the competition, users are prompted to share their "royal love story and the role that our delicious sliders played in it" and to send a few photos along with the tale (bonus points for photos where you're romantically sharing the same french fry à la Lady and the Tramp, obviously).
White Castle is not the first fast-food chain to offer such a contest. Earlier this year, Taco Bell opened a flagship restaurant and chapel in Las Vegas, and the Tex-Mex giant held a contest for the first couple who would get married there. Also, in 2015, an Indiana couple, Joel Burger and Ashley King, persuaded Burger King to foot the bill for their wedding. Sure, most people don't serve fast food at their weddings, but if you're looking for money-saving hacks for your big day, it isn't the worst idea, if you ask us.
