Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made everyone's Monday when the couple announced their engagement this week. The royal and his American bride-to-be surprised the world with the news via a statement from Clarence House and made not one, but two appearances that very day. Between posing for photos at Kensington Palace photos and sitting down for their first interview together, all eyes were on Meghan Markle and her effortlessly chic style. For the special occasion, Markle paired her new three-stone engagement ring with a white belted wrap coat from Canadian brand Line, strappy nude heels, and of course, a mega-watt smile.
However, layered beneath the beautiful coat was an emerald green sheath dress we got a closer look at in the couple's interview. The dress in question is from Italian label P.A.R.O.S.H., and we're not surprised to find out it sold out at lightning speed. The founder of the brand, Paolo Rossello, tells The Telegraph, "The dress was sold out in less than one hour in all shops and online." Now that's some serious fashion influence. The Meghan Markle Effect is real, but there's a silver lining: You can buy the now-famous engagement dress!
P.A.R.O.S.H.'s website is now taking pre-orders for the dress in three different colors, including Markle's green one. "It’s a Parosh iconic dress enriched with a bow for this season, but suitable for any occasion,” Rossello says. The sleek and simple dress is such a phenomenon, the brand appropriately renamed it The Meghan (swoon!). "I thought Meghan looked very sophisticated matching it with high heeled shoes and white coat—it was very feminine," Rosello adds. You can now pre-order the royal engagement dress for $517, which will start shipping out on December 13, just in time for the holidays.
