Have you recently accepted the honor of serving as a bridesmaid?
From the bridal shower to the bachelorette to the big day (and all the emotional support for the bride in between) you have quite the job ahead of you. Of course every bridesmaid and person brings their own personality and uniqueness to the tasks at hand, but the stars can help predict how you'll handle the weight of standing by your bestie as they tie the knot.
Here’s what kind of bridesmaid you’ll be, based on your sun sign!
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Aries are playful and adventurous, so planning a fun and feisty bachelorette for the bride is right up your alley. You’ll enjoy the games and contests for the shower, too. Just be sure not to go overboard!
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
You’re passionate, and a loyal friend, so chances are you’re excited and honored about this responsibility. Just be sure to keep your tendency to control situations under wraps. There may be some things that the MOH needs to take care of, and you need to be okay taking a back seat.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Geminis are communicators. So you’ll probably lead the way in much of the planning and decision making. Make sure you’re consistent and organized, and practice time management skills, too—because taking on this role can be a bit overwhelming at times.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Someone grab the tissues! Cancers are known for loyalty and emotions, so when it comes time for your BFF to finally tie the knot, chances are you’ll have ALL the feels. Waterproof mascara, check!
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
We love you, Leo, but you can be a bit dramatic and maybe even a little vain sometimes. It may be hard to accept the spotlight isn’t on you, so keep that in check. You’ll relish in the pampering: the hair, make up and nails. Save your drama for the dance floor.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Virgo, you’re the bridesmaid everyone wants to have. You love to plan and know that failing to plan is planning to fail. You also have a passion for serving others, and your selfless nature will make you “the one” to go to for venting sessions, advice, and pretty much everything else.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
If any drama arises along your friend’s journey down the aisle, your diplomatic ways and problem solving skills just might make you the great mediator. Offer your advice and skills, but be sure to draw a line and know when to take a back seat. Not all things need your attention, and it’s important to know the difference.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Assertive yet charismatic, you have a way with people. On the day of the wedding, you’d be a great pick to help greet guests, guide them to their seats, or help coordinate any logistics. Should any surprise pop up (and they likely will!) your resourcefulness and practicality will come in handy, too.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
You’re generosity will be greatly appreciated, but be sure to keep an eye on over-promising and under-delivering. It’s your nature to want to give of yourself, but don’t make any offers you can’t follow through on. Be realistic, and only commit to what you can.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
You’re dependable and trustworthy, so some big responsibilities may be reserved for you. The rings, booking details, communications, tipping—these are all tasks you can be counted on to handle and will execute with care. You also have a knack for humor, so perhaps a toast is up your alley.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Boring is not for you, Aquarius. So, channel all your artsy, creative energy into the details—think decor, games, favors, etc. You may prefer to do this modestly and behind the scenes, as you’re not a fan of too much attention. Look out, Pinterest; Aquarius bridesmaids are a creative force to be reckoned with.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
You’re a bit of a people pleaser, so you may come off unassuming or disinterested when that is simply not the case. Be sure to show your excitement and happiness but not to get too lost in your own head. Also, be sure to save time for yourself and don’t get too consumed by responsibility and timelines. Remember, it’s supposed to be fun!
