Chocoholics, we have found your dream wedding. The couple who inspired Hershey's Reese's Pieces Bars received the most decadent wedding gift from Hershey's: a whole 750 pounds of chocolate to serve at their nuptials. Why am I suddenly craving chocolate?
Last fall, the Hershey company caught wind of Jenny Ries and Craig Hirschey's (get it?!) engagement and gave them the sweetest gift: a chocolate bar totally inspired by their love. The engagement commenced the launch of the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar with Reese’s Pieces, and naturally, the couple included the tasty mash-up in their engagement photos.
A few months later, the couple celebrated their nuptials, and you guessed it: Their wedding was overflowing with chocolate. On February 23, Ries and Hirschey said their I do's surrounded by family, friends, and 750 pounds of chocolate. According to Delish, their big day featured custom Hershey’s Chocolate and Reese’s Peanut Butter cakes for every table, and plenty of candy for each guest to take home. Additionally, the chocolate company served lots of Hirschey Milk Chocolate Bar with Ries’s Pieces in honor of the couple. The groomsmen even got into the spirit of the theme, each wearing their own pair of brown Hershey's socks.
Photographer Aimee Jobe captured all of the most stunning details of the couple's sugar-filled celebration, which included a candy-filled dessert table, chocolate-peanut butter cakes and 350 special-edition bars for the couple's family and friends to enjoy. Take a look at some of the newlyweds' mouth-watering photos—but we'll warn you, you're going to be craving a candy bar soon.
