Do you have any burning bridal beauty questions? BRIDES beauty columnist Drew Barrymore — actress, producer, and founder of Flower Beauty — is here to answer all of your pressing skin care, fitness, and makeup application concerns. From her secret to pulling off a sunless tan to bold bachelorette party makeovers, here's what she's recommending this month.
Q: I want a sun-kissed glow for my wedding. Do you have any tips for bronzer that looks pretty and natural and not totally fake?
Drew Barrymore: I love Nars Illuminators. They come in a range of tones, including Laguna, a sheer bronze that's great on all skin tones and super easy to work with. For any bronzer, you want it on the highest points on your face, where the sun would naturally hit. Try this trick to apply: Use your finger to create a big 3 on each side by starting at your forehead, circling down over your temples onto your cheekbones, then going back down the sides of your jaw to your chin. Add a bit along your nose, then blend, blend, blend like crazy. That's the key to a natural look.
Q: I'm sticking with classic makeup for my big day, but I'd like to try something fun and different for my bachelorette. Any suggestions?
Drew: I love colored eyeliner! Right now I'm obsessed with Flower's electric-blue and orchid-purple kohl liners. They're very creamy and easy to work with. Going beyond your usual shadow and putting a pop of color on your eyes can really change up your look. Have fun...and don't do anything I wouldn't do!
