During the fall, you'll see lots of beautiful, textural branches and berries at the flower market. One of our absolute favorites? Privet berries. These smooth, round berries can range in color from olive green and navy blue to practically jet black; their colors change as the season progresses. We especially love working when the berries are navy-colored, since it's difficult to find true blue flowers and textural elements in nature. Privet berries add a gorgeous textural element to bridal bouquets when mixed with pretty blossoms, but they look equally as good on their own. Here are a few of our favorite privet berry wedding arrangements:

Bridal Bouquet (above): Soft grays and blues make for a beautiful yet unconventional palette for a bridal bouquet. This arrangement combines privet berries with dusty miller leaves and white ranunculuses.

Boutonniere: A sprig of navy blue privet berries adds just the right amount of texture to this elegant boutonniere.

Centerpiece: These berries look great in centerpiece arrangements, especially when they're placed low in the vase, almost as if they are spilling out of the vessel.

Bud Vase Arrangements: The striking berries also look great on their own, without any other flowers or fillers.

Candles: A romantic and affordable way to decorate reception tables? Pillar candles in varying heights, accented with branches of privet berries and fresh greenery at the base

Wedding Cake: Top a simple brushed-gold confection with a bundle of privet berries tied together with gold ribbon.
