In our latest issue, we go behind-the-scenes with the iconic bridal designers behind Marchesa, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, to get the inside scoop on their latest venture: A collaboration with St. Regis Hotels and Resorts to offer an exclusive collection of gowns for the most luxurious of brides. And while we were there, we were able to grab the well-known fashion designers for their take on some of the biggest bridal dos — and don'ts.
Playing a little game we call "This or That" we offered the style mavens options and they relegated what they preferred — from veils to no veils to whether a garter toss is on the tacky side.
And while you'd think the dress designers, who produce 10+ stunning bridal gowns each season, would answer "two" to the question "one or two wedding dresses," they actually vouched for one. "I like one because you're only in it once in your life so I wanted to enjoy every moment in it," Chapman answered. "Me too, I only had one dress and I didn't want to take it off," Craig agreed.
Another fun fact we learned? Both Chapman and Craig forwent veils and ultimately regretted it!
As for the question of whether they preferred sparkle or lace — two signature embellishments on Marchesa's wide range of gowns — the girls laughed and screamed "both!"
