Short answer: Yes.
Thanks to the "Not-So Newlywed Game" — a bit on Wednesday's The Ellen Show that puts a hilarious spin on the old-school gameshow, The Newlywed Game — we know a lot more about Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi as well as Melissa McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone.
DeGeneres wanted to play in honor of her recent seventh wedding anniversary, and, of course prove how much they really know each other. They even invited friends Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone (who have been married for nearly 10 years, but have been together for 17!), whose anniversary is October 8th, to join in on the fun. Dancer and television personality Twitch even wore a vintage TV host costume to emcee the festivities!
As you can imagine with this pairing of couples, the results were a brilliant mixture of answers that were adorable and hilarious. The game is pretty simple: Each person was asked a question back stage, and if both Ellen and Portia or Melissa and Ben answered the question the same way, they'd get a point. Questions ranged from "Who is Ellen's celebrity crush" to "where was your first kiss?"
A few of our favorite moments include when McCarthy outed Falcone's celebrity crush on Tom Hanks and when DeGeneres revealed that her first kiss with de Rossi was in the back of a limo. Of course, there were some sweeter moments, like when Falcone chose to describe McCarthy as "Lovely and Amazing" and McCarthy described him as "Kind."
In the end, McCarthy and Falcone lost, getting no answers correct, but we have a feeling that the many years together and their adorable answers that their marriage is just as strong as the triumphant DeGeneres and de Rossi.
