It seems Posh Spice is truly living up to her moniker, considering accessorizing with the same engagement ring during her 18-year marriage would apparently be cramping her style.
Victoria Beckham wed former soccer star David Beckham in 1999, with the bride and groom donning matching purple ensembles in true '90s fashion (or perhaps foreshadowing the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year!?). Now, almost 20 years and fourteen engagement rings later (yes, you read that correctly), these posh parents of four are better than ever and fueling all our celebrity couple goals, as well as providing plenty of ring inspo.
Victoria's extensive engagement ring collection kicked off in 1988, when David initially popped the question with a marquise-cut diamond worth about $85,000 (pictured below), according to Daily Mail. Her relationship with this bauble was short lived, as she traded in the OG ring for a much larger emerald-cut diamond jewel, just four years after the pair said "I do."
In 2005, Posh switched up her left-handed jewelry yet again, this time taking to a pear-cut bauble with a price tag of £2 million ($2.6 million), which Daily Mail reports is the most expensive of Victoria's engagement rings thus far. Here, the the 44-year-old fashion icon flaunted this ring at Elton John's civil partnership ceremony to David Furnish.
Victoria has also steered away from diamonds for a few of her gems, including a ring with an emerald center stone surrounded by diamonds, which she debuted in 2007. Two years later, the former pop star switched over to a highly similar ruby number, then opted for a sapphire number the following year.
David even treated his bride to a new engagement ring for her 30th birthday in 2004, selecting a stunning light pink diamond bauble, estimated to cost $1 million. Talk about the ultimate birthday gift.
Most recently, just last week, Victoria sported the newest addition to her engagement ring collection at Paris Fashion Week June 23, taking a slightly more minimal approach than years past. The fashion designer accessorized her ensemble with an emerald-cut yellow diamond.
All in all, this lavish jewelry repertoire comes down to about £8.9 million ($11.7 million), Tim Belson of Hatton Garden’s Prestige Valuations told Daily Mail. While the rest of us could never dream of following in Posh's, well, posh footsteps, we can at least live vicariously through photos of her numerous baubles (and enjoy some throwbacks of this '90s power couple).
