Mark your calendars for April 18, 2020—a.k.a. the date that Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent will be getting married!
The TV personality, 29, announced in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, May 1, that she and fiancé Randall Emmett would be exchanging their vows next year.
“So anyone that wants me to do anything on April 18, I officially can’t,” she said as she broke into a big grin. ‘Because that’s the day I get to marry my BABY.”
Kent then panned the camera to her fiancé who pumped both fists up in the air. “We got engaged, yeah buddy!” she quipped.
The couple, who sparked split speculation just days prior after Kent removed all traces of the 48-year-old film producer from her Instagram feed (sources later claimed Kent was just doing some social media spring cleaning) were at the Private Suite at LAX, where they met Kent’s costars Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, and Brittany Cartwright before a girls trip to Paris.
“Last night was the best night of my life,” Kent wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post that showed off her $150,000 rock. "I got engaged to the man of my dreams. I get to call this amazing human my fiancé! An engagement last night, my birthday today, and every sign my dad could possibly send me to let me know he’s here. I’m the happiest girl in the world."
The moment was extra special for Kent knowing that Emmett had asked her father for his daughter’s hand in marriage shortly before he died in April 2018.
People reported that for the proposal the movie producer, who had arranged for a screen to play Kent’s favorite show, Friends, and then surprised his bride-to-be with footage from their relationship that ended with the words, "Lala I love you now and forever.”
He then popped the question amid a stunning fireworks display. "I immediately started to think I can’t wait to tell my parents we are engaged!" Kent told People. "I looked up in the sky at that exact moment and saw one bright star gleaming."
