Despite their ups and downs, Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson may still walk down the aisle... eventually.
On Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the NBA star found himself in conversation with Kris Jenner about what might be coming next for him and Kardashian, who, at the time of filming, were both preparing to welcome their first child together. Thompson mentioned to Jenner that he was looking for a "push present" for Kardashian, prompting Jenner to not-so-subtly suggest he put a diamond on her daughter's left hand.
"I remember Koko saying she wanted something where she could pass it down, generation after generation," he said in the episode, per People.
"You know, Corey [Gamble] bought me for Christmas a couple of years ago this really beautiful little diamond ring that you could put on any finger," Jenner suggested, perhaps in reference to the maybe-engagement ring that she's been spotted wearing recently. Ever the momager, she continued, "You know, until you get that really huge diamond that's going to go on on her ring finger!"
"Of course," Thompson quickly agreed. "Eventually!"
While it doesn't appear that Thompson has given Kardashian a left-hand ring just yet any plans to do so were likely stalled by his alleged infidelity right around the time that Kardashian gave birth to their now-5-month-old-daughter True—he does appear to have taken some of his potential mother-in-law's advice. In June, Kardashian was spotted wearing a diamond ring that may well have been her shiny new push present from the NBA star.
While things between Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian may have changed as a result of the relationship drama they've encountered over the past year, they do seem to be moving forward. According to a recent report from People, the couple is "working" on things, but don't currently have any plans for an engagement. "She's the best mom and is so devoted to True. She's glad things are going well with Tristan," a source said. "She can forgive him and move on, but I don't think she'll ever forget."
