Instagram is taking a look back at the platform's top posts this year, and it's got us a bit nostalgic, too. We saw some seriously high-profile weddings (everyone was at Serena's), lovey-dovey anniversary posts (hey Obama!), and super-cute engagement announcements (a royal wedding is being planned as we speak). So yeah, it's been a good year for love.
Love has also had a year full of likes: the top five most-liked wedding, engagement, and anniversary photos of the year on Instagram had nearly eight million likes combined. It's safe to say Instagram users love love.
Beyoncé tops this list with a video she shared for her ninth anniversary with Jay Z. This one is a bit tricky to compare to others because video views don't exactly compare equally to photo likes (let's just say we watched this video, titled "Die With You," more than a few times while writing this post—for research of course). But the video has been viewed over 12 million times at the time of publication, so we'll allow it. Plus, her pregnancy announcement broke the internet—so she more than deserves this honor.
Cardi B ended up with the year's most-liked engagement announcement by a long shot when she posted this stunning rock. She hasn't shared many plans about her wedding to rapper Offset, but she told the New York Post that, much like the shoes she brags about on her famous track "Bodak Yellow," her guests will be wearing red. Can't wait!
Ciara came in third with a sweet smooch-shot celebrating her one-year anniversary to Russell Wilson. Just days later, she jetted off to celebrate Serena Williams' impending nuptials at the tennis pro's bachelorette weekend.
One of our favorite UK couples celebrated their 19th anniversary back in July. That's right, David and Victoria Beckham have been together for nearly two decades. They renewed their vows in a secret ceremony early this year.
Alicia Keys mesmerized fans with a stunning photo from the the night of her 2010 wedding to Swizz Beats.
In a simple but stunning post, Joe Jonas announced his engagement to Sophie Turner. That ring, though? Goals.
John Legend posted a snap from his "anniversa-date" with Chrissy Tiegen in mid-September. The pair has since announced that they're expecting baby number two!
Your inner late-90's movie-lover probably remembers swooning at this super-cute montage of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s long love story.
Neil Patrick Harris thanked husband David Burtka for his "bountiful love" back in September on their third anniversary. The couple has been together for 13 years.
There's nothing quite like a candid wedding shot. Tom Brady shared one from his wedding to Giselle, with the bilingual caption, "Happy anniversary love of my life! Feliz aniversário! Te amo." So cute!
