Congrats to the happy couple! Singer Toni Braxton and rapper Birdman are planning on tying the knot!
Rumors of the couple's engagement have been swirling around the internet for a few weeks, as Braxton has been spotted wearing a diamond ring on that finger—but today, the 50-year-old singer and the 49-year-old rapper confirmed the exciting news. Braxton shared that she is planning on getting married in a teaser for the upcoming season of her TV show, Braxton Family Values.
"I have an announcement to make," she teased her family before yelling, "I'm engaged!"
In the teaser, the singer shows off a giant diamond ring to her family, who smiled and laughed in response, seemingly very excited about her soon-to-be marriage to Birdman.
Her mother, Evelyn Braxton, has praised the rapper in the past. "I think he is a nice man," she said in an interview in back in 2016. "I don't care what others say about him. He is a nice man. He is full of respect...Ever since I've been knowing that man, he's been phenomenal."
The musical couple first started dating back in May 2016 when they made their first public appearance together at the 2016 BET Awards in June of that year, but they first met over 10 years ago in 2002 while working on "Baby You Can Do It" together.
Braxton was previously engaged to American singer-songwriter Keri Lewis for 12 years, after divorcing in 2013. The two share two sons together.
We're sure this musical duo will have some pretty amazing entertainment on their big day.
