The new cut—which is designed to sit low on the hand and has four prongs around the True diamond that subtly form a “T”—is featured in the new campaign video. In a string of black-and-white scenes, the video follows a couple whose love is symbolized by the diamond ring, which is shown prominently throughout the video. The imagery is set to Lady Gaga’s “Is That Alright” from the A Star Is Born soundtrack and shot by photographer Cass Bird.
This is not Lady Gaga’s first partnership with the brand. On the Oscars red carpet this year she rocked the Tiffany diamond, a 128.54-carat, 82-facet Tiffany & Co. yellow diamond. Seeing how they trusted her to wear the necklace, which had only ever been worn two times prior, it’s no surprise they went back to the “Shallow” singer to showcase the True Engagement Ring.
“Tiffany has symbolized the ultimate in love and commitment since 1886 with the invention of the original Tiffany setting,” Tiffany & Co.'s chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff said. “Now, the launch of Tiffany True with its unique setting and expert cut, we are introducing a supreme expression of modern love.”
The design was made specifically to showcase more of the diamond's main facet and expose the stone to more light to give it a brighter shine. The engagement ring is available in a platinum band with a colorless True-cut diamond, and an 18-karat yellow-gold band with a yellow cushion-cut diamond. Shop the new styles below.
