Dental procedures are never fun, but after this poor woman's ***traumatic*** experience, we doubt you'll get her in a dentist's chair ever again. When coming out of anesthesia following her procedure, a woman named Ally proves to have a particularly hard time adjusting to reality when she finds herself totally convinced that she's actually engaged to her boyfriend—who unfortunately witnesses the entire ordeal.
In a now-viral video posted online, Ally is seen wrapped in a blanket, post-dental surgery (puffy cheeks and all!), staring at her hand in confusion.
"Ally, how do you feel? Why are you checking your hand?" a male voice asks the seemingly confused patient.
"Because I lost my ring," she says.
A female voice from the background asks, "What ring? Your engagement ring?" The woman laughs as Ally nods her head.
The male voice, which we later learn is her boyfriend, asks, "Are you engaged?" She nods. "You are? To who?"
"You...you!" Ally says.
"Ally. Why are you crying?" her boyfriend asks.
"Because they took my, my engagement ring...they made my ring gone...they took my engagement ring?"
"Where is it?" her boyfriend asks.
"In a tooth box, they put my ring in the tooth box," Ally tells him. Naturally.
Ally adds, "You're marrying me. You're marrying me." Oh no, sweetie…
Though the poor girl certainly had a difficult time getting over her medication, she eventually came to her senses and remembered that her boyfriend was only her boyfriend.
"You're my boyfriend?" she asks.
"Yes. I'm your boyfriend," the man says.
We imagine there was a slightly awkward conversation following the incident, but it looks like the couple has a pretty good sense of humor to post the video online.
And, who knows? Perhaps the tooth fairy will leave an engagement ring under this girl's pillow tonight.
