It's a proven fact that every bride looks like a million bucks on her wedding day, but some like to kick it into high gear and squeeze in a few extra pre-wedding workouts. After all, a kickboxing session or yoga class can really help curb a bride's built-up wedding planning anxiety—and it looks like future royal Meghan Markle is taking advantage. So, if you're in the market for some new healthy fitness inspo, look no further than Markle's fit-for-a-princess go-to workout regimens.
Regularly exercising is nothing new for the former Suits actress—after growing up with a yoga instructor mom, Markle can strike even the most challenging yoga poses like nobody's business. But that's not the only component to maintaining her killer physique; she's an avid runner, too. "I need it as much like for my head and clearing my head as I do for keeping in shape," she told Shape magazine.
While living in L.A., Markle also frequented a studio fitness class called Y7, which is a high intensity yoga workout that features hip-hop music and candles. Y7's owner, Sara Levey, described Markle to E! News as "really sweet" and added that the "staff loves her, she is really great. Always super kind and gracious."
While Y7 unfortunately has yet to hit the United Kingdom, Markle has made do with a hot yoga studio close to the palace after she moved to Nottingham Cottage with her future groom, Prince Harry. This specific location has been decorated with extra lights to help fight off Seasonal Depressive Disorder, which is a plus for the California native.
For another fitness regimen, Markle turns to pilates, as well. She's been known to frequent Platinum Pilates in L.A., which is owned by one of her close friends (potential bridesmaid, perhaps!?), Heather Dorak. Markle also thanked pilates class Studio Lagree for "changing her body," according to E! News. (Where can we sign up!?)
The self-proclaimed foodie also takes nutrition very seriously. And, conveniently, her current residence happens to be near a major health food store. Markle has been whipping up delicious healthy eats like chia pudding and frittatas. Harry even proposed during a quiet night at home while the duo cooked a roast chicken, so it sounds like this couple is in for a marriage of many well-prepared meals.
When she has a busy schedule, Markle actually eats more fruits and veggies to de-stress and stay energized, according to Joe, the owner of her go-to juice kitchen in Toronto, Revitasize. Stressed-out brides-to-be, take note!
"She is incredibly health conscious and very aware of what type of food she's putting in her body," he said. Joe also noted that she's an avid consumer of green juice. "Some people like to sweeten them with fruits but Megan preferred hers to be very leafy and green," he added.
But no matter what, the ever-gorgeous Meghan Markle is obviously going to look S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G when she walks down the aisle May 19. We'll be watching, green juice in hand!
