Real-life friends and frequent costars Chris Rock and Adam Sandler are at it again. This time, the two are teaming up for a new Netflix original movie titled The Week Of. The plot centers around two fathers as they plan to help their children walk down the aisle, and, judging by the recently released trailer for the upcoming flick, we cannot wait.
Sandler, 51, plays a middle class Long Island father of the bride attempting to provide his daughter with the wedding of her dreams—without going broke. Rock, 53, costars as the father of the groom, who has a very different idea of how his child's wedding should look. The two are forced to spend the week leading up to the wedding together, which results in days of butting heads with one another and trying to tolerate each others' family members. When Sandler's plan to host the wedding at a two-diamond-ranked resort starts to fall apart, Rock's character, a wealthy surgeon, steps in and hopes to solve all of the wedding's budget problems to both comical and cringe-worthy results.
This isn't Sandler and Rock's first time sharing the screen. The two have costarred in a handful of movies, including The Longest Yard and Grown Ups, in addition to frequently appearing on Saturday Night Live together. The Week Of also features a handful of other SNL alum, including actors Rachel Dratch and Steve Buscemi.
Head to Netflix stat—you're going to want to watch this before summer wedding season!
