Jordan Smith is kicking off 2016 by hitting all of the right notes! The newest winner of The Voice, 22-year old breakout star Jordan Smith, announced his recent engagement to longtime girlfriend, Kristen Denny, just days after ringing in the New Year. The adorable couple took to social media to showcase their excitement over the milestone moment!
The Season 9 winner popped the question to his longtime girlfriend on Saturday, immediately following up the exciting news with an adorable Instagram snapshot of him and his new bride-to-be. Smith posted a seriously sweet selfie of the twosome showing off the newly engaged couple's beaming smiles, while Smith's longtime love giving a flash of her newest engagement ring by giving the camera a clear view of her gorgeous vintage-style sparkler. Smith posted the adorable photo with the caption, "RINGING in the new year with my future wife. She said YES! Mr&MrsSmith."
Smith's other half shared in the social media excitement by posting the same blissful selfie on her Facebook page with the caption, "2016...You're definitely my favorite Engaged Mr&MrsSmith." The day after her bended knee moment, Denny shared another close-up of her new diamond sparkler with the caption, "Yesterday was absolute perfection! Thanks for all the well wishes and sweet messages!" The new bride-to-be also added a sweet sentiment to her new fiancé writing, "I am so incredibly blessed and I can't wait to marry my best friend!"
The newly engaged pair is no stranger when it comes to documenting their adoring snapshots on social media. Smith posted a series of holiday-inspired photos of him and his mistletoe sweetheart on Instagram before the official announcement of their engagement. The Voice crooner posted a photo of him and his then-girlfriend standing in front of a festive Christmas tree with the caption, "Merry Christmas to you and yours."
Smith also shared another joyous selfie of him and his 1 with the caption, "FINALLY! Almost home! @kristend."
Perhaps Smith will look to The Voice judge Adam Levine for some wedding planning tips? After all, the Maroon Five singer tied the knot to his Victoria's Secret model wife, Behati Prinslo, in a Cabo San Lucas ceremony back in 2014, and has been slaying the newlywed game ever since. The pop culture power couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary by travelling back to the Los Cabos, Mexico spot where they said "I do" — Levine even serenaded his wife with Marvin Gaye's hit "Let's Get It On."
These two crooners certainly know how to seal the deal with a song!
