Hold tight, Dancing With The Stars fans: another engagement might be just around the corner.
Yesterday, DWTS pro Jenna Johnson spoke to Entertainment Tonight's Lauren Zima and Cameron Mathison and joked about how she wanted her boyfriend and fellow dancer, Val Chmerkovskiy, to pop the question.
“Time’s a-ticking!” Johnson said during the interview on Tuesday. “We’ll see. We both have very big things happening right now, so we’ll let that ride over… maybe we’ll go to Fiji!”
But Chmerkovskiy didn't miss a beat. A few hours after her interview aired, Chmerkovskiy took to Twitter to respond to his girlfriend's hints, writing alongside a GIF of Johnson, "I should def put a ring on it," adding a handful of loving emojis.
The 32-year-old Ukrainian-born dancer also recently opened up about his relationship to ET in an interview in March. "It's hard," Val said, referring to having to watch his girlfriend with different dance partners. "The type of person I am, I mean, I'm fairly jealous. I mean, look, I have all these emotions, you know. I'm not perfect. But I have to check myself and be fair and say, like... how can I hold this against her if I'm in the same situation? And I would never want to compromise my artistry, you know, because I wouldn't want to make my significant other feel uncomfortable.”
But the couple seems to be quite happy nonetheless—Johnson regularly posts photos of she and her beau together on social media.
Val is currently on tour with his older brother Maks Chmerkovskiy and his wife Peta Murgatroyd. The three are dancing across the country (literally) in their show "Maks, Val, Peta: Confidential" which concludes on May 16. Maybe he's just waiting until things get a little less busy...
