Rachel Lindsay is engaged! On Monday night's finale of The Bachelorette, Lindsay finally chose "The One," and couldn't help but accept a proposal from Bryan Abasolo. But, before we get into any more details about the big moment, let's talk about the 32-year-old's stunning dress! We expected Lindsay to leave us with a truly gorgeous final look, and she did not disappoint.
Lindsay donned a gown designed by Randi Rahm, which features silver beading throughout, an open back, and high, sexy slit at the side. The designer is considered to be a Bachelorette favorite, with Lindsay wearing at least seven other creations throughout her season, including her premiere dress. The fully beaded creation weighed a whopping 30 pounds, but Lindsay was still game.
“We sent this dress specifically to be the finale gown,” Rahm told PeopleStyle. “It was spotted by her stylist Cary [Fetman] first and we agreed, it was the best choice for her. Once Rachel saw the dress in person, there was no question which gown she was going to pick. This was the clear winner."
Going back to the proposal, Abasolo opted for a romantic, handmade Neil Lane engagement ring. The 3-carat design featured a large center stone and is set within a halo of 80 round diamonds. Abasolo initially wanted a bold princess-cut ring, but ultimately went with the delicate design.
“It was like an out-of-body experience to hear the words that he was saying to me,” Lindsay told People of her engagement. “I blanked out on what I was saying — I meant it and it was from the heart, but it was just so surreal that it was happening. I mean we’re in Spain, we’re on top of this castle. I’m standing in front of the man of my dreams, and now he’s about to get down on one knee. And so the moment he did it, it was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is happening!’ I couldn’t do anything but scream. Like that’s all I could do, I was so happy.”
