It seems that the second time's definitely the charm for reality TV star Becca Kufrin!
The 28-year-old publicist experienced her fair share of humiliation (probably enough for a lifetime) following last season's unexpected series finale of The Bachelor, when Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to, dumped, and then left Kufrin for the show's runner-up, all of which was loaded into an overly dramatic 2-hour television episode. We're getting secondhand anger for Kufrin just reminiscing on the rather twisted situation. However, the brunette beauty had another shot at love (and revenge) as the star of this season's The Bachelorette, and she previously revealed that the series will end with an engagement to one of her 28 suitors.
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kufrin dished on how this proposal compares to the previous, and she doesn't appear to have any doubts this time around.
"I assume you feel certain about going forward with this," Kimmel said, after confessing that he was an avid Bachelorette viewer and recapping her breakup with Luyendyk Jr.
"I do," she said with a nod.
"Because you know, if you don't, you can just dump him and go with one of the other guys," Kimmel joked.
"I would never do that!" Kufrin replied. "I'm very certain."
But, Kimmel probed further, asking if Kufrin had felt the same way when Luyendyk Jr. popped the question, and whether that's made her reevaluate her current relationship.
"I fell in love and I was ready to commit to Arie. I think that in hindsight now, he was always one foot in and one foot out. I could kind of sense the tension or anxiety there for a little bit, but it wasn't until the breakup where I was like, ‘OK!'" Kufrin said. "I think having this time be on my terms I was just much more intuitive. I really just went with my heart, followed my head and made the right choice." Looks like getting dumped on national television gave Kufrin quite the retrospective insight.
And, as if she hadn't proven her certainty enough, Kufrin went on to bet Kimmel $10 that her lucky suitor is "sticking this time," sealing the deal with a handshake. If she's putting her money where her mouth is, we'll take her word for it.
