The Bachelor Winter Games finale aired last night, and fans were in for a totally heartwarming surprise. Everyone's favorite Winter Games good guy, French-Canadian Benoit Beauséjour-Savard, found love—and proposed to Clare Crawley!
Though Beauséjour-Savard had a rocky start on the season after Crawley told him she wanted to see other people, the bachelor clearly made his mark and won over her heart. And last night, during The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tells All special, he popped the question to Crawley in front of a live audience and ecstatic fans.
The couple revealed that they have been secretly dating off-camera since leaving the show. Beauséjour-Savard reached out to Crawley after learning she too had called it quits on The Bachelor spinoff, and, with the help of some FaceTime and social media, the two rekindled their love for one another.
"It really came out of nowhere," said Beauséjour-Savard, who previously appeared on The Bachelorette Canada. "Actually, we kind of knew there was something more after the show, maybe this old journey wasn't made for the two of us to make it work. But in the end, we're not dying, we're not disappearing after the show ends, so we talked and talked for hours, and it's just been better and better from there. I just think she's the most amazing girl I've ever met!"
Now about that ring... Beauséjour-Savard told E! News that he asked Neil Lane to make a customized engagement ring just for Crawley. "I had something in mind and Neil Lane didn't have that one, so he had to make a custom one on the spot because it was kind of a last minute decision for me even though I was thinking about it," he said. "The decision was made maybe one or two days ago."
And it should come as no surprise that Crawley absolutely loves her new diamond ring. "He made this ring for me!" she shared. "It's everything I could have ever wanted. It's unreal."
Congrats to the happy couple! Now, onto the televised wedding!
