There's no denying Target stores are considered sacred spaces. From furniture to clothes to dog food to TVs, the beloved superstore chain is well stocked with everything you could ever need at deals that can't be beat, and the red and white bullseye logo has become a welcoming beacon of hope to Target shoppers nationwide. As much as we all love the discount retailer (or love to hate how much we end up spending there), one couple took it to the next level by having a Target wedding photo shoot, and we're dying to know how we can follow in their footsteps.
After eloping before eight guests January 26, Miami-based newlyweds Michael Delvalle and Isabella Sablan needed a locale to shoot their professional wedding photos. So, the genius couple turned to none other than their local Target for the task. With the help of Miami photographer Evan Rich and hair and makeup by A Touch of Beauty by Lily, this in-store photo shoot actually turned out beautifully.
There might not be a more dapper duo to ever set foot in the popular store—the couple sported their elopement outfits, with the bride in a white lace mini dress and the groom wearing a suit and red tie. Sablan also carried her red bouquet and Delvalle kept a matching red and green boutonniere on his lapel, so the pair perfectly coordinated with Target's notorious color scheme.
The newlyweds grabbed a cart, and made their way around the store's numerous sections. The pair stopped for pics in the furniture section, the greeting card aisle, and even in the frozen food section while grabbing handfuls of DiGiorno frozen pizza. You can't get more #CoupleGoals than this.
Rich also snapped stunning candids of the bride and groom posing on a bike, and trying on pairs of sunglasses.
One of the highlights of the quirky Target wedding photo shoot featured Delvalle and Sablan sharing a Coke-flavored Icee and attempting to throw popcorn into each other's mouths.
Looks like the session also doubled as an impromptu shopping trip, as well (because you can't leave Target empty-handed). The full photo shoot, shown on Rich's website, ends with the couple at a self-checkout lane, buying some of their wedding session finds. Then, the newlyweds made their grand Target exit.
According to ABC News, Delvalle and Sablan met as 19-year-olds while working at Hollister. During the course of their relationship, trips to Target played an integral role. "The basis of our relationship is built on Target. We probably go two to three times a week," Sablan told ABC News. "We like long walks at Target instead of on the beach."
One couple recently tied the knot at Whole Foods, so maybe we'll soon see the day when someone takes it one step further and actually says "I do" within the red and white shopping holy ground. Congrats to the happy couple, and may their wedding photos earn them a Target discount.
