Everybody else can just pack up and go home, because Taran Killam and Cobie Smulders just attained peak relationship goals.

Smulders made her Broadway debut Wednesday night in the revival of the Noël Coward comedy Present Laughter, and the How I Met Your Mother star got an opening-night gift so romantic that it rivals the grand gestures of Ted Mosby. Her husband, Taran Killam, posted a beautiful note about her on Instagram, taking a rare step in publicly commenting on their decade-long relationship.

Waxing poetic in a lengthy message, Killam captioned a photo of Smulders by writing, "I don't normally like to get very personal on social media but tonight is the opening of this woman's Broadway debut. This woman, the kindest, most selfless, most stunning individual with the most educated heart I've ever encountered."

The former SNL star, who is finishing a Broadway run as King George III in Hamilton, went on to describe his pride in Smulders's efforts to conquer theater after reigning atop TV for so long. "She followed me to New York for my work and set a goal for herself. The only specific creative goal I've ever witnessed her commit to: perform in a play on Broadway. In these three years, she has jumped through many hoops; put herself out willingly and vulnerably, while still keeping a priority of being a superb mother and phenomenal partner. She has been met with speculation, scrutiny, and rejection but never gave up her commitment to her dream. And tonight, she realizes this dream. Something few people ever get to achieve. And she does it flawlessly," he wrote.

Killam and Smulders have been married since 2012, when they wed in the company of Smulders's HIMYM costars after a three-year engagement.

In his tribute to his wife of five years, Killam continued on to call himself "overwhelmed with pride" and finished off the incredibly sweet post by thanking Smulders for "the inspiration and the incredible honor of being your husband." Cobie Smulders? If she's anything like us, more like Cobie Swoons.
