When it comes to summer wedding beauty, our favorite buzzwords are fresh, minimal, and natural. (Our position: The less makeup you wear, the less makeup you’ll have to melt off your face midceremony.) One of the best aspects of summer, anyway, is being able to get away with wearing a simple, beachy look for both day and night. The key to channeling this while appearing polished is finding a few multitasking products that work really, really well. That way, you’ll be able to put yourself together and have fun without worrying about whether your face is still in place. Here are the awesome products we’re stashing in our summer clutches—whether we’re the bride, bridesmaid, or guest.
Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30
The day we tried this product is the day our lives changed for the better. (Maybe that’s a little dramatic, but this product is just really good.) It’s a green color-correcting lotion that evens skin tone to erase redness from blemishes, rosacea—you get the idea. (And no, it doesn’t look green on your face. Just blend it in.) It can also take the place of your moisturizer and sunscreen—it contains SPF 30—and you may not even need foundation on top. We just touch up after with a dab of concealer here and there. Another huge plus: The hero ingredient, cicapair, helps repair skin in the long run. After a month of using it, we’ve started to notice unevenness fading altogether. (Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30, $52).
Tata Harper Clarifying Mask
With her preternatural glow, whatever Tata Harper is selling, we’re buying—and her new clarifying mask is no exception. Not only does the green color make it fun to put on, but the chlorella in it (which makes it green) is rich in brightening and free radical–neutralizing vitamin C. It also contains alpha hydroxy acids to gently balance oil production and refine pores. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then as you wash it off, it becomes a mechanical exfoliator, so massage it on your face a bit before completely rinsing with water. (Tata Harper Clarifying Mask, $68).
RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in Modest
We often equate coral with the summer months: It’s not as dark and high-maintenance as red but not as subdued as dusty nudes. RMS Lip2Cheek Tint in Modest is the perfect shade of coral because it’s not too orange or too retro pink. Dab it on your cheeks and lips for the perfect monochromatic flush; we’re using it in place of bronzer and blush. (RMS Lip2Cheek in Modest, $36).
Mary Kay Eyebrow Gel
A few weeks ago, eyebrow extraordinaire Kristie Streicher told us she’s been using this product for years. We were instantly intrigued, because not only is she responsible for her own amazing brows, but also the brows of Kiernan Shipka, Selma Blair, and so many other celebs. So what is it about a simple, clear eyebrow gel that can make one better than another, we asked ourselves? We’re not sure exactly how, but we did find that this one makes the most of every last eyebrow hair so that they look full and feathery, whether or not you use pencil underneath. (You definitely can, but you may not even need to.) Icing on the cake: It’s 10 bucks. (Mary Kay Eyebrow Gel, $10).
Oribe Swept Up Volume Powder Spray
From the makers of the best texturizing spray of all time comes a root-lifting, volumizing powder that gives hair cool texture, which is especially great to use in summer, when oil production can easily make hair limp. It comes in a little tiny tube, too, so that before you land at your honeymoon destination, you’ll already look like you have perfect vacation hair. (Oribe Swept Up Volume Powder Spray, $42.
