Long the favored boutique of bohemian brides for nontraditional nuptials, Stone Fox Bride joined forces with millennial bridesmaid dress destination Weddington Way for an utterly divine pop-up event in San Francisco earlier this month. Bay Area brides flocked to the Weddington Way x Stone Fox Bride Love Pop Shop, presented at 560 Sutter Street in San Francisco. After hosting a successful preview on September 17 attended by the likes of singer Devon Baldwin, the Love Pop Shop opened its doors to eager brides and their entourages. Guests sipped champagne and donned their designated selection of bridesmaid apparel in elegantly appointed fitting rooms, while expert stylists offered their tips and tricks for achieving the ideal nuptial aesthetic.
The event marked Stone Fox Bride's first foray into San Francisco, but hopefully not the last. Founder Molly Guy's whimsical, romantic aesthetic struck such a chord with local brides that the formerly two-day event was extended until September 20 to accommodate the sheer volume of customers. Janel Molton Hertz, head of Brand Marketing and Partnerships at Weddington Way, credits the creativity and innate sense of fun both companies share with the Love Pop Shop's success.
For its part, Weddington Way prides itself on offering bridesmaids a simple and joyful method for choosing their gowns. More modern brides are allowing their bridesmaids free reign in choosing their ensembles than ever before, and the company's online hub offers users a simple, streamlined system of selecting the ideal style. The website possesses thousands of unique bridesmaid dress designs that can be sorted by color and designer. Brides or bridesmaids themselves can compile a digital trove of top picks to choose from. When a style has finally been selected, each user can upload her measurements and specifications without setting foot in a tailor. While no further pop-ups have yet been announced between Stone Fox Bride and Weddington Way, future partnerships uniting the two progressive companies would be a marriage made in sartorial heaven.
