Stevie Wonder has tied the knot! The singer quietly married longtime girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy over the weekend and the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, and word is the ceremony was quite lavish.
According to a report from People, the bride donned a form-fitting white gown, completed with a regal headpiece. The reception was totally romantic, with elaborate flower décor and string lights. The bridal party consisted of Wonder's nine children, and, of course, the ceremony had a packed guest list. “It was a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was lavish and very romantic. There were celebrity guests, including John Legend,” a source told the entertainment mag. “Family is very important to Stevie and all of his kids were involved in the wedding.” It was also reported that the couple signed a prenuptial agreement prior to the ceremony.
“Stevie’s musical pals each got up on stage to take turns serenading the couple, much to the delight of the other guests," reports The Sun. Singer Babyface reportedly sang his hit "Whip Appeal,” and Pharrell Williams and Usher also performed, just before Wonder hit the stage to serenade his blushing bride.
Of course, the crooner is no stranger to a wedding performance or two. Earlier this year, the 67-year-old took the stage during golfer Rory McIlroy's nuptials to Erica Stoll "I Just Called to Say I Love You," "Isn't She Lovely," and "Signed, Sealed, and Delivered" are some of the hits mentioned to have been performed.
The couple had been dating a little over five years before tying the knot, and, in December 2014, they welcomed their second child together, a baby girl named Nia. This also counts as Wonder's third marriage; he was previously married to Syreeta Wright from 1970 to 1972, and Kai Millard from 2001 to 2012. He shares seven children from previous relationships.
