"You are the light to my saber, the Jedi to my temple, and the R2 to my C3PO;" these are just a few of the vows that may or may not have been involved in a real-life Star Wars wedding that took place yesterday in Hollywood, California. True love means never having to explain your Star Wars references, and that's exactly how it was for the ultimate Star Wars fans, Andrew Porters and Caroline Ritter, who got married on the opening day of the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, on December 17.

The force was definitely strong for these two at the premiere of the newest Star Wars movie. The Australian couple exchanged their vows outside of the TCL Chinese Imax Theatre in a ceremony that would make George Lucas proud. The bride's dress resembled Princess Leia's iconic ensemble, and in true Deep Core galaxy fashion, she clasped a paper bouquet — complete with a light saber sticking out of it. The groom's corsage was none other than a Millennium Falcon spaceship.

Some of the OGs present as witnesses of the ceremony included Chewbacca and a Stormtrooper, with the officiant dressed as Luke's mentor, Obi Wan Kenobi (who goes by "Obi-Shawn" in real life). R2D2 looked snazzy as ever as the droid ringbearer (an obvious choice), donning a bowtie to celebrate the special occasion, while Darth Vader walked the bride down the aisle to the sound of the "Imperial March," played by a violinist in a Jedi costume.

After camping outside the TCL Chinese Imax Theatre since December 9, Porters and Ritter were able to declare their love for each other and the movie series almost a full week later. "May your love last longer than a Sarlacc's digestion," said the Jedi officiating the wedding, according to People.

The two cut a Star Wars cake with a light saber cake cutter and fed each other slices of the confection post-ceremony. IMAX donated $5000 to the couple for their honeymoon, which we're sure will be put to good use in a galaxy far, far away. IMAX also generously donated $5000 to the Starlight Children's Foundation, a non-profit that provides entertainment to chronically and terminally ill children and their families.

In true Princess Leia and Han Solo fashion, they sealed their wedding vows with "I love you," "I know," and headed off (with fans throwing popcorn in lieu of rice, obviously!) to enjoy their happily ever after in the galaxy (errr — movie theater) to watch the premiere of The Force Awakens.

Live happily ever after, they will.
