Southern Charm New Orleans star Reagan Charleston’s storyline—and life!—just took a major turn: The reality star revealed that she’s married to Reece Thomas and that the couple is expecting their first child.
“We’re thrilled!” Charleston, 31, told People in a piece published on Saturday, May 25. “Everything has been in hyper-drive, but it’s been incredible.”
Following her big announcement, the lawyer shared her first baby bump photos on social media. "Oh, hey baby!" she captioned a mirror selfie of her belly on Sunday, May 26. "I’ve never felt more comfortable in my own skin. I had no idea I would love the bump this much... I can’t wait to meet our little girl, but I’m going to miss this belly!"
The New Orleans native announced that she was separating from ex-husband Jeff Charleston after six years of marriage in June 2018. “Jeff and I have decided to separate and are devoting time to re-establishing a great friendship while focusing on personal growth apart,” she told People at the time.
She teased a new love in the show’s season 2 trailer in April 2019, with Reagan asking a psychic about a “boyfriend” and later, walking down the aisle in a lacy white dress.
The couple’s relationship isn’t entirely novel, however: Reagan and Reece actually dated 10 years ago ahead of her marriage to Jeff.
We had instant chemistry; it was like no time had passed at all,” the TV personality told People of their reconnection. “The last decade just went out the window and we picked up just right where we left off, when we were in our early 20s, like college kids.”
According to Reagan, it was a welcome respite following the collapse of her marriage. “Especially after my divorce, it was so nice to have someone who felt familiar,” she said. “Right when I felt ready to start dating again, Reece came back in my life. It felt like serendipity. Like everything happened for a reason. There’s no other way to describe it. It just feels right.”
Six months after rekindling their romance, the pair got serious. “I spent so much time convincing myself that I didn’t want kids, that I didn’t want a family, that it just wasn’t right because I had this career and every excuse I could make for myself,” Reagan quipped. “And then as soon as we started seeing each other ... we started talking about when we wanted to get married and start having a family."
The Bravo star and the farm operations manager, 32, tied the knot in an on-camera ceremony and are expecting a little girl in mid-June (Reagan is due June 18.)
“He was born to be a dad. He’s so good with kids and he’s got a dad hat on already. And I’m so ready to be a mom,” she said. “I’m so excited. ... This is my second chance at love, at being happy, at a stable marriage, at having a family."
Season 2 of Southern Charm New Orleans will premiere on Bravo on Sunday, June 2, at 9 p.m. ET.
