On the surface, Lady Gaga and Sofia Vergara don't seem like they have many similarities — Gaga's an envelope-pushing native New Yorker who's worn everything from a dress made of Kermit the Frog puppets to an outfit comprised entirely of raw meat, while Vergara's a va-va-voom Colombian vixen who favors refined mermaid silhouettes that flaunt her celebrated curves. And yet, now that the two lovely ladies are engaged, it appears that their taste is much closer than we might otherwise assume. According to the New York Post, both might get married in wedding dresses created by the same bridal designer!
Romona Keveza told the paper's fashion column that though she can't confirm whether she's designing either of the dresses, she receives phone calls from the stars "when they're looking for something elegant."
That's certainly the case for Gaga, who has notably toned down her formerly outrageous personal style in the past year. Her more traditional gowns of late perfectly suit her current project, Cheek to Cheek, a collaboration with the legendary Tony Bennett. For instance, the singer stepped out in a champagne-colored Keveza number in January, shortly before her Valentine's Day engagement to Chicago Fire hunk Taylor Kinney. "She was showing a whole new personality," Keveza told the Post. "Her career has shifted in a completely different direction."
Vergara, on the other hand, might now view Keveza as something of a good-luck charm! She wore a stunning white-and-gold gown by the designer to last year's White House Corresepondents' Dinner, the very event where she met her fiancé Joe Manganiello. "We did that dress specifically for her," Keveza said. "She certainly got the attention of the man she is now engaged to!"
