New husband, same Sofia! Mrs. Manganiello, otherwise known as Modern Family leading lady, Sofia Vergara, sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to discuss details surrounding her recent nuptials to her hunky actor hubby, Joe Manganiello — and to give DeGeneres a little hell for missing the actress' wedding!
Vergara, who just days ago was sending major vacation envy through her breathtaking Instagram snapshots of her Turks and Caicos honeymoon with Manganiello, made her her first post-wedding talk show appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, E! reports, to confront the hilarious host about her reasons for being MIA during her big day. "You're not really sorry," teased Vergara after DeGeneres started the interview with, "I'm sorry I couldn't make the wedding." Newlywed, Vergara, convincingly interrupting her by adding, "Why didn't you make a little more effort to go? It's not like they're not holding the production for you for one day." DeGeneres explained that taping a new episode of her highly successful talk show every day keeps her unable to put the show on hold.
Vergara joked that DeGeneres was "talking like really fast" after the comedic talk show host fired back by saying, "If you would have had it in town [I would have attended], but you had it in Florida."
We understand how the exquisite bride could be upset that DeGeneres missed the breathtaking nuptials at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The stunning couple spent their star-studded wedding weekend with an abundance of high-profile celebrity attendees such as, Modern Family co-stars, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, and Eric Stonestreet. Heartthrob Channing Tatum, Manganiello's former Magic Mike co-star, rounded out the list of celebs with Oscar-winning actress, Reese Witherspoon.
DeGeneres followed the interview by saying how Vergara "looked beautiful" but she couldn't believe there were "400 people" in attendance. Vergara added to the disbelief saying that, "It was my family and closest friends." Vergara's equally as beautiful son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, "was very excited to give me away." The bride posted a sweet snapshot on Instagram minutes before a beaming Manolo escorted her down the aisle.
The stunning actress summed up her big day by saying her wedding "was like a dream, like a fairy tale. Like, it came out perfectly like how I wanted. I have to say, the people that work helping me do the wedding [were] amazing!" The bride also commented on her reception and after-party that lasted until the wee hours of the morning! "Not everybody" got drunk, Vergara announced, making it clear that DeGeneres "missed a very good party."
