Have you ever attended a wedding, only to discover that another guest was wearing your dress? The odds are you probably have, as this happens in some cases. But what if you showed up to find that not one but five other women were wearing your dress? Well, that's exactly what happened during this ceremony in Sydney, Australia.
Take a look at the Facebook picture below. At first glance, you might assume these ladies are members of the bride's bridal party. Well, not exactly. According to Debbie Speranza, who's pictured in the photo, she and the rest of the ladies pictured were there as guests. As it turned out, all six women arrived to the ceremony wearing the same white and navy dress from Forever New, an Australia-based clothing brand. Of course, what could've turned into a very awkward situation was laughed off by the group. Hey, even the bride was amused! And, on the bright side, this makes for an awesome story down the line.
Speranza forwarded the photo to the brand's Facebook page, captioning it "You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can inquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event. No we are NOT the bridesmaids just the guests. Think I deserve a gift voucher for all this advertisement."
Naturally, the post went viral and has currently racked up over 44,000 likes and 10,000 comments.
"I love this! You guys should be backup bridesmaids!" one user commented.
"My worst nightmare haha. Recently packed two dresses just in case," another user said.
In a follow-up post, Speranza joked, “I am laughing so hard at the moment. Cannot believe how many likes (over 10,000) and comments (over 600) for my photo about the dresses at the wedding. Forever New you owe me a gift voucher for the advertisement.”
If you've taken a liking to the number, which is called the "Debbie" lace pencil dress, you can purchase it on the Forever New website for $160.
