Ring the alarm: Beyoncé and Jay-Z may have just shared the first pictures of twins Sir and Rumi Carter since their iconic birth announcement photoshoot. The couple kicked off their "On the Run II" tour on Wednesday in Cardiff, U.K., and, in typical Carter family fashion, it was more than just an auditory experience. Images of the 36-year-old singer and 48-year-old rapper holding their two younger children flashed on the screen with the messages “LOVE IS UNIVERSAL” and “LOVE NEVER CHANGES” projected between the two pictures, which were reportedly displayed during a short film.
Twitter was quickly ablaze with the pictures, which feature Beyoncé wearing a long lace dress and blonde braids embellished with beads and bangs, as well as Jay-Z wearing a black T-shirt and black pants. The twins, who will celebrate their first birthday on June 13, are adorably naked. The Beyhive naturally lost its mind when the new photos hit the internet. “THE TWINS. GEMINI LEGENDS,” one person wrote. "Rumi and Sir are so chubby and cute," another said.
Sir and Rumi broke records in 2017 when Beyoncé posted a photoshoot with her newborns that quickly became the most liked picture on Instagram. Since then, the twins have stayed out of the spotlight (and have been clearly growing to their current cute chunky size) for the past year while big sister Blue Ivy, 6, steals the show at just about every event she attends. Let's hope that on the twins' upcoming birthday, Beyoncé blesses us with more pictures of her entire family.
