Sex boxes work on the same idea as Birchbox, except they’re more exciting! They arrive at your door with fun products you’ve never tried before, delivering the possibility of making your sex life more interesting. And they make great bridesmaids gifts, wedding presents, or just pleasurable partner gifts that keep on giving (Valentine's Day is fast approaching, wink wink). And all companies promise “discreet packaging to ensure that your privacy is top priority,” so you don’t have to worry about the UPS guy knowing about your clitoral stimulator.
A handful of sex products will arrive—from sex toys to sex “enhancement” products—once you fill out a form that asks about your “secret, taboo sexual fantasies.” Here are two of our favorite oh-so-sexy sex boxes.
L'Amour Secret

L'Amour Secret promises that you will “Give someone a gift they will never forget.” The company doesn’t require a month-to-month subscription, and you can get a one-time-only customized box for $54.99. "Our sex toy box for adults is filled with products that are refreshing for your passion-making moments and add a fun, hot, steamy, kinky twist to your bedroom," the company told us. To find out what's inside, you will have to wait until your package hits your doorstep!" Like great sex, the best part is the surprise element to the whole experience.
Sex subscription boxes work by filling out a form that asks what your sexual interest are, including your most secret, taboo fantasies. A couple of days later (fast delivery!) my "naughty box" arrived from L’Amour Secret. I must admit I got a little excited just opening the thing. Since I mentioned that I was always interested in “giving and receiving oral,” inside was a chocolate "edible thong" from Kinmanmyjoy.
My sex box also contained a vibrating lipstick sex toy, a meltable massage candle that created sexy, flattering lighting followed by relaxing, pre-sex massage action, and “bondage tape” which will have you both deciding who gets to be the “tier upper” and the “tier uppie.” But my favorite surprise in the box was the "Embroidered Venice Mask" Love. A few days later, I answered the door wearing it and all he said was "Nice" then carried me into the bedroom for some more amour.

What's In Your Box?

What’s In Your Box? was “developed to start a conversation about women’s sexual health—and eliminate shame.” As part of their mission to “care for your cooch,” they curated a monthly subscription filled with an assortment of products, sex toys, and information for a satisfying sex life.”
According to founder Christine Long, the boxes “encourage exploration” (alone or with a partner), and help educate about vaginal health. It’s about a “month-long journey of finding your groove in the bedroom,” she says. Short-term commitments are $18 for 3 months or a one-month “quickie” for $21. By “sifting through the clutter of what’s on the market for women’s sexual health and pleasure,” she says,”empowerment is where it’s at.” What we like best about the boxes here is the corresponding “tip sheet” that sexplains what the products do.
For instance, the “Healthy Hoo Hoo Gentle Feminine Wash” is pure “liquid love” that doesn’t remove any of the good bacteria in your ‘gine. The smooth cleanser is the perfect complement to the little lady down there. Her tip: “Scent-free washes that contain aloe are great for soothing your whole bikini area.” And the smooth cleanser, she told us, is the perfect complement for the “little lady down there.”
Most boxes contain Sensuva Hemp-Infused Arousal Oil. When applied directly to your clitoris, it creates an exciting sensation that pulsates, vibrates, and tingles to give you all the feels.
“Adding arousal oil to partner play,” she says, will help every touch and thrust feel smoother and more pleasurable.” And sexual pleasure in your box is what it’s all about.
