Most brides-to-be have dreamt of being swept off their feet. The most recent to live the dream: tennis star Serena Williams and her fiancé, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian. On Monday, Williams shared an Instagram shot of herself in Ohanian's arms with the caption "My only regret is not pointing my toe sorry coach Garry." While perhaps toe-pointing is a tennis-training move we don't know of, we do know that Williams most definitely had her movie moment with Ohanian, wherever the two were vacationing. (The Insta didn't reveal their exact location.)
But this isn't Williams's first ultraromantic movie moment with Ohanian. After they met and had their first date in Rome, Ohanian flew the 23-time Grand Slam winner back there in December 2016 to propose. Naturally, she shared the details of the engagement in a poem posted—where else?—on Reddit in a thread titled "I Said Yes," giving us an epic glance at her ring.
Williams, though, has remained mostly mum on any wedding-planning details. In a press conference for the Australian Open back in January of this year, she said that "it feels good to just be engaged." We can't disagree; the post-engagement bliss period is all too real. But less than two weeks ago, Williams shared another telling Instagram, this time not of Ohanian but of what we are guessing to be part of the train of her potential gown or veil. Perhaps a cathedral-length veil with just the softest Chantilly-lace edging, Miss Williams? She captioned the photo "Romantic lace. Very pretty. #inspired #fashion," and we're confident whatever Williams wears to her upcoming nuptials will be absolutely beautiful. She is also a fashion designer, after all.
Another Q we're still wondering about, though: Will Venus be the maid of honor?
