Ahead of her wedding to fiancé Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams still had one major to-do to cross off that checklist: Have the best bachelorette party ever, apparently. We'd say mission accomplished! The tennis superstar took to New York City with her girlfriends for a weekend of fun festivities before she ties the knot with the Reddit cofounder. And with five-star spa treatments, tea brunches, dinner and dancing, and even trapezing (!!!), we bet you'll to want to forward this to your own 'maids for a little bachelorette party inspo.
Williams hosted her bachelorette bash at Manhattan's Baccarat Hotel & Residences, according to a press release from the swanky digs, with the guest list including celebs like Lala Anthony, Ciara, and of course Serena's sis Venus Williams. And the weekend itinerary was just as cool as the gals there. In the photo above, Williams & Co. kicked off the bach weekend with a champagne toast and brunch at the Baccarat Hotel's Petite Salon. They later noshed on a luxe dinner at New York's Legasea Seafood Brassiere. Then, it was off to cocktails and dancing at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge and PHD Rooftop Lounge.
After their late night, these party girls rejuvenated via some pampering spa treatments at the Baccarat Hotel's Spa de La Mer and lounged poolside. Now, with Williams's goal-worthy bachelorette party officially celebrated, we can't wait to see the Grand Slam champ finally tie the knot.
Williams first told the world of her bride-to-be status on—where else?—Reddit. The couple got engaged over the holidays last year, with Ohanian popping the question while he and Williams were vacationing together in Rome. (Così romantica!) “I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome,” said Williams, in a poem she wrote on her Reddit account. “To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance.”
She continued: “But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.” Ohanian shared the Reddit announcement on Facebook, with the caption, “She said yes.”
Now it's only a matter of time until she says "I do!"
