Selena Gomez's Off-The-Shoulder Maid Of Honor Dress

She also made a speech during the reception dedicated to the newlyweds

Selena Gomez had been preparing for her cousin Priscilla DeLeon‘s wedding for a while: She celebrated on Instagram when DeLeon first got engaged and then, as maid of honor, she planned an epic bachelorette party in Mexico. The big event finally took place on Friday night, and Gomez wrapped up her MOH duties by giving a toast to her friend and family member in a gorgeous, off-the-shoulder bridesmaid dress.

The wedding was held at the Firefly Gardens in Midlothian, Texas, close to Gomez's hometown of Grand Prairie near Dallas. A few images on social media showed the singer hanging out with the other members of the bridal party and making silly faces with DeLeon. Later, during the reception, she was filmed making a speech and leading a toast dedicated to the newlyweds.

Gomez held a microphone in her hand and spoke directly to the couple. According to E! News, she said to DeLeon, "You taught me to be strong." She added, "I pray for you guys all the time."

DeLeon posted a Boomerang of her and her husband holding a "Just Married" sign on Instagram, writing in the caption "Mr. & Mrs. Cosme." The little clip shows off her strapless, mermaid-style bridal gown, which also has a special connection to her relationship with Gomez: Just after DeLeon got engaged, she shared a video of herself hugging Gomez and waving a note that said, "I said yes to the dress!" In the caption, she revealed that Gomez had actually bought her wedding dress as a gift. "When your maid of honor makes your dream dress a reality and surprises you with it!" DeLeon gushed online.

Of course, Gomez's thoughtfulness as a maid of honor is nothing new. She's done this before, and she most recently had the special bridal distinction at her friend Courtney Barry's wedding. Just before Barry's celebration, Gomez planned a chic, garden-side bridal shower, proving that she is pro at handling this MOH thing.
