Now, these are two wedding crashers we definitely wouldn't kick out. In fact, we'd invite them to stay for cake! The Weeknd, with his sweetheart, Selena Gomez, in tow, just crashed a bride and groom's wedding photo shoot in New York City. Wedding pics with the Weeknd?! Raise your hand if you're jealous!
Practically since news broke of their romance back in January, it seems like everyone has been waiting on the wedding of the "Fetish" singer and her beau—and they're not even engaged yet! But this past weekend, the famous duo finally snapped some bridal portraits—they just weren't their own. (That's just a technicality though, right?)
While getting in some quality couple time this weekend in New York City, Gomez and the Weeknd stumbled upon a pair of just-married strangers taking their wedding photos on the city streets. And the Weeknd jumped right on in!
"The couple was taking wedding photos in front of the homes on the picturesque MacDougal Alley, a gated residence in Greenwich Village," an eyewitness recounted to Entertainment Tonight. "During the romantic shoot, the groom spotted the Weeknd in a parked SUV." So what's a groom to do? Invite the Grammy-winning singer to join in, of course!
"[The groom] approached the car and asked him if he would join in the photos, and he agreed!" said the source. "Selena waited in the car but passed along her well wishes!"
This wouldn't be the first time a celeb crashed a wedding photo shoot. In fact, Amy Schumer is now somewhat of an expert at it. Two years ago, the comedian took a break from a jog in Central Park to photobomb a couple's engagement photo shoot. And then just this past July, she was back at it, hilariously crashing a bride and groom's wedding snapshots.
Looks like Schumer has some wedding-crashing competition!
