Each week we take a deeper look at one of our favorite new love stories, and today we're going behind the scenes of Sonia and Edward's Arizona wedding.
With friends, family, and Something New Media in tow, this twosome exchanged vows in the heart of Sedona at the Enchantment Resort. There, the two planned a celebration inspired by their gorgeous backdrop and Chinese culture. Their wedding day kicked off with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where the couple spent time with just their immediate family. After, Sonia and Edward headed outdoors to exchange vows surrounded by nature. One very special guest was present: The couple's adorable dog wore a garland of greenery and posed for portraits before walking down the aisle as the ring bearer.
We can't get enough of this outdoor ceremony, where nature was the biggest décor element. From the bride's and bridesmaids' bouquet, comprised mainly of native greenery with a few white flowers sprinkled in, to the couple's fireplace backdrop and the views of Sedona beyond, we love that Sonia and Edward decided to play up what was already around them.
For their reception, the couple brought the outdoors in, hanging greenery from the ceiling of the lavish ballroom and decorating their white wedding cake with fresh flowers. Like any good party, there were plenty of tasty drinks on hand, but the one that stuck with us was Sonia and Edward's champagne tower.
