The rumors are true: Scarlett Johansson and her French journalist fiancé Romain Dauriac are officially married! According to Page Six the pair married in a secret wedding ceremony shortly after their daughter Rose was born in September.
Late last month rumors swirled that Johansson and Dauriac had wed after the actress was spotted wearing a thin diamond band along with her blingy vintage-inspired engagement ring. She kept quiet about her new piece of jewelry while out in New York City at the Friends Of Rockaway second annual Hurricane Sandy fundraiser, but a source has told Page Six that the gold ring is, in fact, a wedding band.
"Scarlett and Romain were married in a very intimate ceremony after the birth of their daughter. They kept the wedding a big secret because they both wanted privacy," Page Six reports.
While Johannson made it clear she wasn't planning a big affair (this summer she told Access Hollywood that she was terrible at planning and would just "wing it" when it came to the big day), she had also been overheard in July telling friends that she and Dauriac would be married "very soon."
In order to pull off their low-key ceremony, the couple opted to wed in the U.S. rather than Dauriac's hometown of Paris as speculated. There's no confirmed destination yet, but Page Six reports their wedding was likely held somewhere far away from the paparazzi, suggesting they may have said "I do" in remote Colorado.
