Whether you're born-and-bred San Franciscans or have decided to host a destination wedding in the City by the Bay, here are the prettiest spots in town for your engagement photos.

Baker Beach (Above)

If you want the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in the backdrop, make a beeline for Baker Beach. Kick off your shoes and take a stroll along the sand toward the bridge as your photographer trails behind, snapping all the way.

Nothing's more quintessentially San Francisco than a ride on one of the city's historic cable cars. You can hop on one of the three cable-car lines for a photo opp — the Powell-Mason, Powell-Hyde, and California Street lines.

Located at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, the Sutro Baths used to be a privately owned swimming pool and bath house in the late nineteenth century. Now all that's left are the ruins, which create a moody, dramatic backdrop for engagement photos — especially at dusk.

For a sweeping, birds-eye view of the city and skyline, head to the Potrero Hill neighborhood perched on the southeast side of the city. Wander around the intersection of Wisconsin and 20th Streets to recreate a similarly spectacular shot.

Your Favorite Coffee Shop

San Franciscans love their coffee, so why not ask your photographer to shoot you and your groom enjoying a cup of joe at your favorite local coffee shop? This couple was photographed sipping coffee and cappuccinos at their favorite joint, Sightglass Coffee.
